Blogging about Blogging

how many iterations?

So let me begin by saying I’ve probably wasted a good amount of my bandwidth uploading WordPress to my web host an insane amount of times. Rather than just pick up where I’ve left off in previous attempts at blogging I’ve fallen victim to my obsessive disorder of having things being as fresh as possible when I’ve let them get what I believe to be disorderly and not touch them for months on end. Keep in mind most of what I consider disorderly is really me loading some WordPress themes and some plugins and editing a few simple lines of code.

When I come back to the files on my host and I’m in the WordPress dashboard I feel like it’s all alien to me. I don’t remember the things I edited or added and it all feels dated. And so I delete everything hoping to get back to that clean slate and restarting with every intention to keep a steady flow going so I don’t have to do it all over again.

These past few months I’ve felt like doing some creative especially since my drive for drawing/doodling has all but died. I want this blog and my drawings to be connected so hopefully diving into one will lead me doing more of the other.

My friend Jeff used to say a blogger shouldn’t blog about blogging. But I think the first post is supposed to be like that.

I’ve got a fresh copy of WordPress, an awesome theme that I’ll eventually get around to tweaking, and I’m hoping to make use of this domain and webhost I’ve had stagnating for 2 years now.
